Kidz Bite Back was evaluated by the University of South Florida, College of Public Health as a part of a three-year scientific study from 2007 - 2010. The evaluation included 1,610 students, 81 teachers, and 8 principals at 14 schools in Tampa Bay, Florida. Additionally, 1,513 parents were part of the study.
From the Executive Summary of the evaluation:
- "72% of parents reported their kids involvement in Kidz Bite Back led to their family eating and drinking less fast food, soft drinks and junk food."
- "Over half of the parents (68%) reported a decrease in their family's televison viewing and video game playing as a result of their child's involvement in Kidz Bite Back."
- "Most of the parents (79%) reported their child educating them on Kidz Bite Back 101."
- "Teachers and parents reported Kidz Bite Back to have increased students' academic achievement, social interaction and self-esteem."
- "Overall, the principals viewed Kidz Bite Back as favorable and as having a positive impact on the children, specifically academic achievement, self-esteem and social interaction."
- "Students reported that fast food, soda, and television companies cared less for their health from pre- to post-survey showing the intended effect of the program."

180-Change is continuing its evaluation efforts of Kidz Bite Back next year measuring the following with families and kids:
- Consumption of fruits and vegetables
- Consumption of water
- Physical activity that includes "breaking a sweat"
- Aerobic Index (measures stamina and endurance) in a limited number of schools
- Parental responsibilty and accountability for family health and wellness
- Frequency of preparing healthy family dinners
- Access to healthy foods vs. fast food, soft drinks, junk food
