DirtBall stories from Cleveland...

What I did with the Dirt Ball was play Kickball. The ball did not get dirty enough though. Next I played Roll the Ball…if you play it in the dirt, then it is going to get dirty, so I played that game. It took me forever to get the Dirt Ball dirty just a little bit…but it did get dirty. I was having so much fun until I had to go inside. I really enjoyed playing with the Dirt Ball.

Me and the Dirt Ball got my mom and sister to play soccer and have fun doing fitness instead of lying on the couch eating potato chips. When we got outside, we found we didn’t have any goals. We decided to just kick the ball around. After a few minutes, we decided to form a triangular shape and kick the ball around. Next we took the ball and set up a game called Ball Tag. The person who is “it”, throws the ball at the other players. Whoever you hit becomes “it”. We had a good time playing this game with the Dirt Ball and best of all, it got my mom and sister outside doing some exercise with me.

What I did with the Dirt Ball was play Kickball with my cousin Brianna. I made five homeruns and she made eight. While we were playing, I kicked the ball so high and so far that we had to run to my other yard. (We have three yards put together, so you can say we have a huge yard.) When I got there, I noticed that the ball was covered with water. It had landed in a big puddle. We didn’t care though. We just ignored the wetness and continued to play. I really enjoyed playing with the Dirt Ball for a day and so did my cousin, Brianna. When we finished playing, the ball was covered with dirt. A Dirt Ball is a kid’s dream to play with and get fit….at least that’s how it is in my head anyway.

ME…Playing With the Dirt Ball Today, January 26, 2010, my brother, Maurice, Maurice’s brother and I had a blast playing with the Dirt Ball. We played Dodge Ball until Maurice and his brother had to leave. My brother and I decided to play Kickball. I was up to kick when we saw Kyle walking by and we invited him to play with us. He went to the outfield to pitch. Kyle rolled the ball, and BANG! I kicked the Dirt Ball further than a mile. “Kyle’s turn,” I shouted as they gave me the last out. THUD! My brother flung the ball and Kyle fell onto the lime green grass. It was a strike. We really, really had fun with the Dirt Ball and we got it really dirty.

Today I played soccer with the Dirt Ball. Hiram, my buddy, was on the other team. We started off like bulls. I tripped him so he couldn’t get the ball. I started toward the goal, and Hiram tried to block me. But since I know some moves, I dodged his trick. Suddenly, I was right at the goal. I kicked it in and G. O. A. L. I had a lot of fun with the Dirt Ball.

Cry Ball…A New Game

When it was my turn to take home the Dirt Ball, I decided to create a new game with it. It’s called Cry Ball. Here’s how you play…Every time you get hit, hurt or drop the ball, you pretend you’re crying. You keep doing this and tallying on a chart until you reach 100 throws. The key to the game is to get the least amount of “cries”. Whoever has the least wins the game.
