Interview #1 by KBB Reporter: Deshaun and Classmate Kyrii What did you think about the KBB program? I think the KBB program was good. What did you learn form KBB? That you should stay healthy. Do you think KBB is important? Yes, it is important because kids these days are getting fat because they are staying in the house playing video games. Interview #2 by KBB Reporter: Nyaah and Classmate Spencer What did you think about the KBB program? I thought it was nice! What did you learn form KBB? I learned to eat healthy and to not be a couch potato. Don't fall for products if it's bad. Run outside and exercise instead of doing nothing like staying inside and watching TV or playing video games. Do you think KBB is important? KBB is important because it teaches us kids not to play too many video games and watch too much TV. To stay healthy and don't eat junk food, exercise, play outside, eat vegetables and drink lots of water. Interview #3 by KBB Reporter: Nyaah and Classmate Marissa What did you think about the KBB program? I thought the KBB summit was interesting, exciting and healthy. I would like to join the program because I like the way you are helping people. What did you learn form KBB? I learned to not be a couch potato and to eat healthy. For example, don't eat too much junk food and not to be lazy and to get up an exercise an hour a day! Do you think KBB is important? Yes, because some kids eat at fast food restaurants all the time and sit on the floor all day long watching TV and now we have a chance to change that! Kidz Bite Back can help kids not sit on the floor and watch TV and eat chips all day. You need to go outside and make some friends. Just don't stay out too long! Interview #4 by KBB Reporter: Destiny and Classmate Jay What did you think about the KBB program? It was a very good, exciting experience. I learned something! What did you learn form KBB? Watching TV is bad for your body and eating junk food is bad for your body. McDonalds and other fast foods can be bad for you. Do you think KBB is important? Yes, because helping people get to exercise is important. It gets their eyes off the TV and the junk food. K.B.B. Poem by Spencer Deleon KIdz Bite Back teacher advocate, Coach Walke, challenged all 4th and 5th grade students at MOSI Partnership to create and song, rap or poem about what they have learned so far. Spencer Deleon is a 4th grade student that created this poem in less than an hour. WOW!!! Spencer's poem was also read on the morning announcements. Don't eat junky food, can't you see. Eating healthy food is good for me! Playing outside in the sun. Making you run is very fun! Staying inside in the dark. What are you thinking, get to a park! Lounging on the couch will hurt your brain. Get up and get moving, it's time to train! Cheese burgers, mash potatoes, gravy-YUCK! Eat that stuff and you might get STUCK! Drinking soda and Mountain Dew. Will make you weak and you can get the flu! Cookies and chips are always handy. BUT, Kidz Bite Back says take it easy on the candy! K.B.B. RAP by Nyaah Santiago Sit down together to have a feast, Let's have some carrots and celery. No beef or pork, Don't have to use a fork! If you want to be fat, Avoid healthy snacks! If you want to be fit, Eat right and don't eat quick! Go Kidz Bite Back!!!!!! Nyaah Santiago took the K.B.B. challenge serious as well! Nyaah created her rap with her family at home. She has also shared her rap, spreading the Kidz Bite Back word, with fellow classmates. A video recording has been made of 4th and 5th grade students singing the rap. | ||||||||
